Since beginning the journey down the social justice avenue, I have had the privilege to witness waves of direct action and people taking to the streets to assert their rights as humans.
It’s about what you do, not what you say you do.
I have photographed activists fighting for economic justice, women’s rights, and Black Lives. I’ve witnessed Indigenous water protectors, immigrants rights advocates, anti-war protestors, Nobel Peace Prize Laureates and Presidents take action big and small; everyday people living their lives, putting their money where their mouth is and walking the walk. Whether we all agree on the motivations, it is safe to say to fight for what we believe in is a powerful and admirable part of the human experience.
